It's never too early to learn lifesaving skills! Young children can learn and retain basic skills that may save a loved one. The Emergency First Response CPR & AED Care course teaches children how to respond to life-threatening emergencies. The course consists of three core components plus additional skills:
Course content Primary Care:
Course content Secondary Care: Allergic Reactions (incl. anaphylaxis), Asthma, Bruises, Burn, Choking, Cuts, Dislocations and Fractures, First Aid Kit Assembly, Insect Stings, Sprains and Strains, Venomous Bites and Stings. Courses for 8-11yrs will cover UK Key Stage Curriculum level II and 12-15yrs will cover Key Stage Curriculum level III. | Duration This 6 hour course is video, book and instructor led. The course will be split into two 3 hour sessions. Assessment The final assessment includes realistic scenarios and a multitude of props and the ready use of real first-aid equipment. Certification Upon successful completion of this course students will be issued with a Certificate of participation. Cancellation policy Cancellations will be accepted up to 24 hours in advance to the start of the course. Late cancellations, 48 hours or less prior to the start of the course, will be charged. Courses will be delayed in the event of Red/Black rain or during a storm level T8 or above. A minimum of 10 people on the course is required. |
