The base course is designed for adults and children above the age of 12 and is a great introduction to first aid. It provides you the skills and confidence required to be able to help another person in their time of need and you can make significant difference.
The program consists of a combination of three core components plus additional skills:
Primary Care & Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Secondary Care (Assessment First Aid)
Additional skills may include: The use of oxygen, strapping, simple and compound fractures, venomous bites, burns, hypothermia and more will be covered.
This 8 to 9 hour course is video, book and instructor led. The course tends to be split into two 4.5 hour sessions but on request can be a full-day course. The final assessment includes realistic scenarios involving actors and a multitude of props and the ready use of real first-aid equipment.
